Will You Join Me? A Message from Andrew Eneim, Our People Organizer
This is Andrew, the newest member of the Ellis/Andrews campaign for Governor/Lt. Governor. I’m 28, a newly minted Ph.D. holder from Johns Hopkins University, and a long-time Green. My entire adult life has been under the threat of a fascist takeover (my first election was 2016), with an opposition that simply will not fight when it counts. I’m a Green because I know that neither of the two corporate parties are coming to save us, and if we do not build a real alternative we will continue to be subservient to the wealthy and their pawns.
So my ask for you is simple: Will you join me?
Watch: What Does Getting Involved Actually Look Like?
In this clip from a recent livestream, Andrew talks about what volunteering with this campaign actually looks like — and why it's built around relationships, not just tasks.
It Starts With You
My vision for our volunteers is one where we learn from each other. Where you bring your lived experience and skills to the table, while I and others offer ours to build a campaign and a movement that works for us. I won’t just send you emails whenever I need a volunteer, but I want to actually learn what your motivations for getting involved are, what you want to see change about the system and the world we live in. I want to know what your struggles are and the solutions we could push to solve them. And if you feel like you’re too busy to knock on doors, I want you to feel free to tell me that and we can find a way to keep you involved in a way that works for you. Lots of people doing their (however small) part will make huge gains for us in the end.

Why This Matters
Sign up to volunteer, not just because I need the help (I do) but because each of us taking action is necessary to building a real opposition to corporate greed. Maryland is as blue as it comes, but this is a failure of democracy more than it is the success of the Democratic party. We deserve a multiparty democracy that has substantive debates, that provides for the people and not the lobbyists. From energy bills to housing costs, Maryland is facing a crisis that is being neglected by those in power. It’s time for us to build a campaign that will talk about real issues, that will mobilize your neighbors to get involved and stay involved, long after this election takes place.
So I ask again, will you join me in building something better?
About Andrew
Andrew Eneim is a labor organizer, Green Party member, and newly minted Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University. He organized for Franca Mueller Paz's Baltimore City Council campaign in 2020, where a Green Party candidate won over a third of the vote in a deep blue district. He joins the Ellis/Andrews campaign as People Organizer, focused on building the grassroots capacity to challenge Maryland's one-party system.
